Project iMPPACS: A Multi-Level HIV Prevention Strategy for High-Risk Youth

A second NIMH-funded project will test an innovative strategy for reducing risky sexual behavior among high-risk youth living in Syracuse and four other U.S. cities. This five year multi-site study will investigate the combined impact of a community-wide mass media campaign and a small group intervention on HIV risk behavior among African-American adolescents. At the local level, the project involves a partnership with several community based organizations and health care providers.
